Light The Hours

Alice sat on the couch with her legs spread while on her side holding an Xbox controller. Her gaze was fixed on her game intensely. She wore a tank top that showed her belly button in which was obviously pierced and plaid pink pajama pants. Beside her, her iphone was playing music. It had been a while since she had sat down to play since she was always on her tippy toes with her two year olds Jordan and Finley. She had to give it to herself, for a single mother she had done pretty well and keeping in shape was probably her best asset as of now. She glanced over into the play pen she had stuck them in with toys and exhaled in relief to see them entertained. "Who would've thought?" She grumbled.

Colton collapsed next to the girl beneath him, smirking as she panted and shuddered. He enjoyed observing the effect he had on women, they basically worshiped him for as little as a hundred bucks a night. After being in the business for a little more than three years, he had earned his right to the giant house he lived in now along with all the top notch necessities. For him, life was good.

Alice glanced at a specific number in her phone that called to her attention. One of her exboyfriends the father of Finley and contemplated calling him. Then again, she'd gone through hell and back with this guy. Having almost committed suicide for him. She shuddered at the thought ad rolled her eyes. She was far more tougher than that. She grabbed the phone and dialed his number.

Colton relaxed into his bed and grinned. "Huh?" he asked as the girl, Victoria he thought, poked his side. "Someone's calling you." she muttered, handing him his phone. Colton answered without a second thought and exhaled. "Hello?"

"Colton." Alice said his name softly then realized that she hadn't been calling him to moon over his voice. She shook her head. "Colton I uh." His voice trailed off.

"Alice?" he asked, shocked. He hadn't heard from her in a long time, he figured she died or something. Turning on his side, he pressed the phone closer to his ear. "What's up?"

"I... Shit well. Look just visit alright?" Alice quickly ended the call. If he really wanted he'd find out where she lived.

"Alice wait-" Colton started, only to be cut short as she hung up. "Fucking bitch." he snorted, tossing his phone on the night stand.

Alice looked at her xbox and began to play again.

Sighing, Colton got out of bed and pulled some clothes on. "Listen, babe," he started, scratching the back of his head awkwardly, "I have some errands to run. Mind if I cut this short?"

The girl narrowed her eyes but left $150 on his nightstand as she got up and put her own clothes on. "Whatever."

Colton grinned and watched her leave before going into his closet and grabbing one of Alice's old shirts he had somehow managed to keep all these years.

After a few hours Alice glanced at her watch only to find it was nearly one in the morning. She quickly went over to her daughters and pulled them into her arms then tucked them into their beds after kissing their heads. She walked out and decided to order a pizza.

After smelling it deeply, Colton relaxed himself and shifted to his wolf form, following the scent trail he immediately picked up.

Alice waited outside and crossed her arms. She was on her phone playing Candy Crush.

After running for who knows how long, Colton finally located Alice's house. He shifted back, pulling on the pants he had tied to his waist before leaving. "Hey." he said, noticing her outside.

Alice looked at him curiously. "Oh look, let me role out the red carpet for the asshole in shining nudity." She growled. "You have a kid."

Colton looked her at shook his head. "Sure it's mine, slut? Heard you got two."

"Yep. I'm sure." Alice rolled her eyes already adjusted to the name calling. "If you want a DNA test I'm more that excited to bring her to get one."

Colton narrowed his eyes but ignored her question. "So where is it?"

"She." Alice said and walked upstairs shutting the door behind them. She slowly made her way over to the crib and glanced down.

Colton followed her and huffed. "So, what? You want money or something?"

Jordan turned her attention to the strange mandand spit at him. "No!" She shouted and scooted towards her sister.

Alice turned on the light and looked at the girls. "Finely baby, wake up." She said softly and shot a glare at him. "No. Just thought you should know." Amusement crossed her expression at Jordan's aggressiveness.

Finley's eyes shot open as her sister touched her. Upon seeing such a strange man, she began to cry.

Colton wrinkled his nose and backed away. "Well, cool. She's not my problem, so have a nice life."

"Dumb!" Jordan squealed and threw a block at his head.

Alice picked up Finley and rubbed her back pressing her against her shoulder. "Bye." She glared.
