Avery smirked and jumped on the table in her dining room. She didn't know how her mother did it about two years ago, she had bought a super cool big new house. Her and Aria dominated it, at least when Clair, Jane, and Brit weren't over.


Diego sat in the kitchen on his laptop working. He had grown to be a workaholic. Living alone with Ciel, Miles, Emmett, and Mia, was definitely more peaceful then when they lived in that small crowded apartment.

"She's gone." Melinda said as panic began to consume her.

"Well we have to anyway, just in case!" Mia said and took his hand to tug him back towards their home.

"What do you mean gone?" Atticus said and grabbed his keys remaining on the phone as he picked up Dylan and rushed out driving towards Mel's house.



Miles sighed and began to follow her rushing back.

"Gone, zip, not in the area." Melinda snapped. "Avery told her to go away and she left. She can't find her now."

"Call the police I'm on the way." Atticus said and hung up.

Miles barged in and looked at his father. "Dad."

"What is it?" Diego said looking at the two.

"Miles saw a bad guy!" Mia said quickly.

Melinda got out her phone and dialed the police immediately.

Atticus walked into the house holding Dylan and looked at Avery and Jane. "Avery! Why would you say something like that to your sister?"

"Because she was annoying me." Avery argued back. She still didn't know why they were making a big deal. It's not like she wouldn't be back. She looked at the boy her father was holding. "Who's that?"

"A bad guy?" Diego repeated and looked at his son. "What is she talking about?"

"I think I saw a girl get kidnapped." Miles answered. "You looked like nine or ten."

"It's your brother." Melinda said and narrowed her eyes. "This is serious Avery."

Jane scratched her head as she stood there awkwardly.

Mia looked up at her father, curious as to what he would do.

Avery stood dumbfounded. "I'm confused."


Atticus shook his head and looked over as the cops came.

Dylan chewed on his dad's shirt while babbling.

Diego got up and began to call the cops.

Melinda looked down at her daughter and shook her head. "Go and take Jane with you to your room."

Avery scurried off to her room with her companion and began to jump on her bed. "She'll come back fine." She shrugged.

The cop walked over to Melinda and Atticus. "We just got a call stating they saw a girl about nine or ten get into a car with a older man, no details on what they looked like but said the car was blue. We're going to send out an amber alert and search. "

Atticus looked at him in disbelief. "That's it?"

Melinda began to tear up a bit and nodded to the officer, sending Atticus a glare. "Thank you."

Jane shrugged and began to jump with her. "Unless she dies or something."

"Why would she die?" Avery asked and plopped down on her butt.

"That's all we can do sir, we'll be tracking and keeping an eye out and keep you updated." The cop said and turned away to begin his search.

Atticus looked down. "I'm going to go look for her." He said and walked to the car putting Dylan down there.

"Maybe she like feel in a river and drowned?" Jane pointed out.

Melinda sat down at the table and began to sob.

Atticus returned after three hours and walked inside. "I couldn't find her." He said quietly while holding Dylan.

Avery fell asleep after a while.

Melinda shook her head and began to cry again.

Atticus put Dylan down to sleep on the couch and sat at the table in a chair opposite to her. "She'll be back, have faith."

"How do you know?" Melinda sobbed. "What if she doesn't?"

"She'll come back." Atticus responded softly. "What about your father?"

"Like he cares." Melinda said and buried her face in her hands as she sobbed.

Atticus moved over to her side and put a hand on her back. "You know I'd do anything to get Aria back."

"I know..." Melinda sniffled and stared at him with a blank expression.

Atticus walked to the couch and picked up the baby and passed him over to Mel then looked away.

Melinda looked down at Dylan and sniffled a bit, hugging him gently.

Dylan opened his eyes and grasped onto his mother and buried his face in her chest.

Avery stood in the bathroom doing her make up. She was now sixteen years old, and it was six years since she had last seen her sister. She honestly couldn't believe it took her parents losing a child to get together. She turned to Jane who had slept over the night before. "Jane wake up you stupid bitch, I'll make your ass walk to school." She threatened.

Atticus was already awake and in the kitchen making a phone call to his job to call out.

Dylan banged on the table. "I'm hungry mommy!"

"Hold on Dyl, it's hot!" Melinda told him as she set the pancakes on a plate. "Hurry up girls!" She shouted up the stairs.

Jane rolled her eyes and got out of the bed. "Yeah well, no make up means I can sleep in." She grumbled and brushed her hair out. That was the good part of being the sportier one of the friends, she never needed to worry about make up or anything else like that.
