Only A Light

The day was warm, the town was quiet, just a normal day for people who lived there. Aunna sat at a table next to a window, every now and then she would glance out it looking at the people who walked by and the cars. The room smelt of coffee and fresh pastries, a comforting smell. She slowly tapped her fingers on her coffee cup before taking a sip, she was meeting up with her old friend Nikolai that she hadn't seen in a while. Waiting patiently the waitress asked her for anything else she softly said no and watched her walk away only to turn her gaze back out the window watching the cars.

Andrei nodded as he eyed the chick. "Fair enough, I believe you both." He squeezed Nikolai's shoulder before walking back inside to give them their privacy.

"Andrei is my older brother, he's never really settled down, he works so often he never has time for a love life. Mom says he's still a virgin, I find it hard to believe, even I know a guy like that is candy for girls." Nikolai explained as he walked over to the dock to set up the boat. "He helped buying this place." He pointed to the porsche sports car. "See that baby? It's the latest model." He smirked and turned on the motor on the boat.

Aunna looked at the boat and chuckled at Nikolai. She walked over to the boat and lightly drug her fingers across it. "It is very nice."

Nikolai  gestured to the seat. "Sit down. After this maybe we can get a drink inside or something." He said and started up the boat.

Aunna sat down in the seat and nodded. "Sounds good." She smirked as she looked at the water.

Nikolai returned after an hour on the water and helped her back off into the dock and into the house. "Well," He began and poured her a drink then his own ad sat down not paying attention to his brother who was there.

Andrei looked at Nikolai curiously then back to the girl. "You do not look Russian.

"Thanks." Aunna said as she took a drink. She blinked slightly at Nikolais brother ."im not Russian. " she explained taking another drink.

"You are dark of course you're not."  Andrei said with a curt nod. "A tropical spanish country, yes?"

Aunna nodded slightly. "Yeah." She said with a smile. She didnt quite know where her family came from but she new she was part spanish.

Andrei nodded and leaned back going through his phone then looked over at his brother who looked bored.

Aunna blinked slightly then took a gulp of her drink, she slowly ran her hand through her brown hair to push it out of her way. Feeling a little awkward she tapped her fingers on her glass befor she finished the rest. "You should give me a tour this is a nice place." She explained tryin To give something to do.

"My brother can." Nikolai said and walked over to turn on the tv.

Andrei frowned but got up anyway and nodded slightly. "I'll show you."

Aunna got up and followed him. "If you are okay with this?" She asked not wanting to bother him.

Andrei managed an awkward grin. "Yes, it's alright. I do not want you to feel like you are bothering me."

"Alright." Aunna said with a smile and walkes close to him. "So do you live here or just come every now and then like nikolai?" She asked looking around.

"I don't live here but I come here more often then I would like to, to get away from it all." Andrei told her and shoved his hands in his pockets.

Aunna fixed her gaze back on him."makes sense." She said holding her hands behind her back as they walked.

Andrei walked into the kitchen. "Here's the kitchen." He murmured and pointed to the spirals stairs. "There's that. To the upstairs."

Aunna looked at the stairs. "Whats up there?" She asked wondering if there was anything amusing up there.

"Let's go up."  Andrei told her and walked up. The entire floor was his room.

Aunna walked up and looked around. "Wow is this someones room?" She asked walking into the middle of the room looking around.

"Mine." Andrei responded with a small smile.

Aunna looked at him. "Its nice." She smiled. "Ive never seen a room so big." She said wiith a chuckle.

"Thank you. The next floor just has two or three rooms, nothing special."  Andrei murmured and sat down on the edge of his bed. "How old are you? Are you married?"

"Im 22 and no im not married. " she shrugged and continued to stand. "How about you?"

"Thirty six, not married."  And a virgin. Andrei added mentally and walked cleared his throat.
